The Tranquilandia raid was a joint DEA-CNP raid on the Tranquilandia, a large cocaine production laboratory located in the jungles of Colombia operated by the Medellín cartel, in 1984.
The DEA installed a tracking device on a shipment of ether, a critical ingredient in the production of cocaine, bound from the United States to Colombia.
